Volunteers in Action Again

Vulcan Volunteers completed a 'Muffin Baking Spree' on Friday baking over 6 dozen muffins with leftover bananas for those who need an extra snack or to take on a field trip. Way to go volunteers!

Waste in Our World

ATB Grand Opening 2016

Our Jr. ATB had it's grand opening today. Bank workers, both from VPE and from ATB, were introduced and students were already able to make deposits. Thanks to Mrs. Kirk for another fabulous cupcake cake to help us celebrate the occasion!

Skiing-Round Two

We had an awesome day at Castle Mountain. The sun was shining and students were doing some great skiing. Thanks to our bus drivers, parents and staff for helping make the day at the hill a success.

100th Day

We are so good that we got 100 days smarter in only 99 days! Grade 1/2 students celebrated the 100th Day of school today since tomorrow is the ski trip. They showed 100 in a lot of different ways and even spread some 100th Day cheer around the school.

Vulcan's Got Talent

Where can you find some talented kids? Today the answer was at the Peter Dawson Lodge. Students went to perform a talent show for residents. Singing, dancing, limbo and magic were just a few of the acts. Plus we all got to show off our reading talent!

Raffle Success

Soccer Showdown Sequel!

Today the Everton team took on the staff for the soccer finals. Everton scored first getting one by returning player Mrs. Clement. The staff answered with 3 goals and that was the final score. Floor hockey will start on Monday!

Around the World in a Week

Grade 3/4 students had the chance to experience some of the customs, traditions and food of Peru, India, Ukraine and Tunisia last week. It was lots fo fun for all. Thanks to those presentaters who came to teach us.

Success on the Slopes!

  We were lucky enough to be able to fit both of our ski trips into March this year. It was great to see students improve from the first time to the second trip. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves on the slopes. We can hardly wait for next year.
